Weldborough Landcare

Weldborough Landcare group consists of  people that love the area for it's natural beauty and are concerned about the weeds that are increasingly affecting the area. The main weed that is going to be targeted is Holly, which is out of control in the area. Other weeds include Blackberry, Broom, Spanish Heath, Elishia's Tears, Hawthorn, Sycamore maple, Ivy and more.

The fact the area hosts beautiful areas of wet white gum forest, a threatened ecosystem, makes preserving the area and limiting the effect of weeds even more crucial.

The main aim is to share knowledge, tools and join together to do working bees. We encourage anyone interested to assist to get in touch, regardless if you might be visiting the area, you're a local land owner or prospective volunteer.

The group will try to collaborate with State Government and Local Council to work on crown and council land, as these areas are the main concern, especially regarding Holly
